Continue Browsing TripsYour journey begins with a private pickup from your hotel in Huaraz, heading toward the majestic heart of the Ancash Massif. Upon arriving at the trailhead in Hualcayán, you will meet your professional local team—certified guides, mountain chefs, and muleteers—who will be your companions and protectors throughout this 8-day expedition. As we begin the trek, you will witness the raw beauty of the high-altitude tropics, moving through a landscape of granite peaks and turquoise glacial lakes in a safe, expertly managed environment.
Walk alongside our certified guides, who share the ancestral stories of the Cordillera Blanca and the deep-rooted history of the communities that call these mountains home. Throughout the 92 km (57 miles) route, you will have the freedom to photograph and immerse yourself in the landscape at your own pace, while our team monitors your well-being with professional safety protocols, Garmin connectivity, and daily O2 saturation checks.
As the sun begins to set over the glaciers, arrive at our exclusive campsites where the magic of Andean hospitality truly shines. Instead of basic rations, you will enjoy nutritious, high-protein meals prepared by our mountain chefs, designed specifically to fuel your recovery at altitudes exceeding 4,000 masl (13,123 ft). While our team handles the heavy logistics and high-quality equipment, you can focus on the breathtaking views of the Alpamayo pyramid, sharing a hot coffee and stories with your fellow travelers and the local crew.
On the final day, after crossing the last high passes, descend through the vibrant valleys of the eastern range until reaching our final meeting point. After bidding farewell to your new local friends and the team that ensured your safety, our private transport will take you back to Huaraz. You return not just with photographs of the most beautiful mountain in the world, but with the peace of mind that comes from a truly human and professional Andean experience.
